Its rich resources of gold and silver and other commodities are a veritable feast for any enterprising party, and older nation-states like Spain, France, England, and the Netherlands, vie for control over this banquet.

The trade-routes around the New World have become bustling with merchants. However, where lies those who would gain riches through honest work, there follow those who would do dishonest work.
